An unforgettable ski week with Oliver Rose at Mountain Ocean Sports!
My Husband, our two boys ( ages 12 and 9 ), and I had the pleasure of being under Olivers’s expert guidance and it was truly remarkable.
Olivers patience and encouragement were exceptional; he not only taught us the fundamentals but also pushed us beyond our comfort zones, unlocking new levels of confidence and skill.
What truly impressed us was Olivers approach with our boys, who had never skied before. By the end of the week, they were tackling red runs with ease! Olivers ability to connect with them on their level, installing both confidence and technique, was nothing short of impressive.
Olivers passion for skiing and teaching shines through in every lesson. His knowledge of the slopes and dedication to his students progress make him a really great teacher. We couldn’t t have asked for a better instructor to make our ski experience truly unforgettable. Thank you, Oliver, for an amazing week on the slopes!

As a total beginner skier I knew I needed some lessons. After 6 lessons Olly has taught me more than I could have imagined. The dynamic between student and instructor is crucial and I can only praise Olly on this. Trust with his methods and his approach was immediately there from the start and continued throughout. Challenging me when he knew I could do more, taking it back to a comfortable level when I was not having a great day. I can now call myself a skier and that is all thanks to Olly. We found Olly’s number online and the whole experience from the first conversation, to the follow up pdf, containing teaching points and video was superb. My wife and I pride ourselves on being strong skiers on most terrain, but one can always improve! Olly broke down various types of turn shape and refreshed our pole plant, with complete recognition of the skiers, he was with. In addition he greatly increased Katies confidence, off-piste - in some challenging bowls; So much so we have been enjoying skiing them, for the rest of our trip. This is the first time we have skied together in 7 years. I could not recommend Olly more highly.

"I am a 58 year old intermediate skier. I had never taken a lesson. I contacted Olly about a lesson to get accustomed to accessing off-piste areas. Olly picked me up at the hotel and transported us to Grand Montets. We talked and he quickly assessed what the lesson plan would be.. We started on piste and immediately Olly zeroed in on my weak points giving me the tools I needed to practice. We spent some time reinforcing the techniques to correct what I was doing wrong. all of these techniques and drills we practiced translate to confidence both on and then off-piste. We spent some time on the side piste where those things I learned and practiced were put to the test. At the end of the lesson I felt much more confident! The lesson was the first day of a 4 day trip with a crew that were all stronger skiers than I. The next day the crew went to Balme and we spent some time in the woods. Even though I was slow and methodical I was able to keep up and enjoyed this new discipline I call " adventure Skiing" With the videos and notes from Olly I will be able to work on these techniques in the future.
